Clubs

   Dear Tennis Friend!

If you're in for a great game called tennis, you've come to the right place. Here you'll find a lot of interesting and useful info intended for amateur tennis players.

Let me introduce myself first.

My name is Slav, and I'm situated in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Fond of tennis, I traveled the long way from the very start (when the racket hits the ball not the way you want, and that weird little yellow thing flies its own unpredictable way :) to the level when you can reach the ball right, direct it the way YOU like, spin or slice it (it's about 3,5 by NTRP classification). Quite a way to go still. But enough of me, let's dive into the main core.

What this site is for?

To help amateur tennis communicate, find rivals and good friends all around the world.

It's rather hard for a player, especially a novice one, to find a decent counterpart. That's great if your local tennis club runs amateur tennis tournaments and you take part in them (by the way, I'll be happy to hear from you about your club structure. More than that, I'll place your story on this site. You can write your story and send it to info [at] creyda.com).

But what if you're not ready to jump into the head-spinning competition process, or simply there is no tournaments available in the nearabouts? Or, if you plan to travel somewhere, don't you mind taking your racket with you and hit with someone in the place of your destination?

To help you with this the CREYDA.com amateur tennis rating was created.

How the CREYDA.com rating is counted.

First, the rating helps to range amateurs in more effective and objective way, not by their perceived evaluations.

Second, it creates the competitive atmosphere, stimulating you to further refine your tennis skills.

And last, but really not least, it helps you find new tennis friends in all parts of the world.

How it all works?

Simple. There are a series of amateur tennis tournaments for different playing levels. Some of them take place during weekends, others are stretched for weeks.

Just another appeal to you. If your local tennis club host such tournaments, and I almost sure it does, give me a sign, we'll place your info here (you can reach me through info [at] creyda.com or simply fillinf in this FORM.).

We welcome tennis players from all over the world to participate in these events. Thanks to the Internet, we can view and compare our results with the players that live thousands of miles away.

If you plan to visit Saint-Petersburg in the nearest future (it worth while, believe me), don't forget to take your tennis racket with you.

If you didn't think about visiting our great city, now it's the right time to consider this idea. Summer season is marvelous here, and along with usual sightseeing you have the chance of getting unforgettable tennis experience. It can be a family trip, or you can inquire in your tennis club for fellow travellers and make a team.

Open air tennis season starts here in the beginning of May. As long as we have national holidays during May 1-3, the great tennis events are planned for these dates. But that's just the beginning. The high season (famous "white nights") is in June-July, August and September are perfect for visiting too.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you need further info. Once again, I'll be glad to hear about your tennis life. Send letter to info [at] creyda.com or fill the FORM.

Here are the top 10 players in our rating. Click on their names to see photos of real people, who maybe will be playing with your some day :)
